Ants – HIGH Activity
Argentine ants and pavement ants are in full swing this month. The recent warm weather has triggered heavy foraging activity, and we’re responding to multiple calls daily across Yuba City neighborhoods. These persistent invaders are actively seeking food and water sources as their colonies expand.
Prevention Tips:
- Wipe down counters and sweep floors daily to eliminate crumbs
- Store food in airtight containers, especially pet food
- Fix leaky faucets and eliminate standing water
- Seal cracks around windows, doors, and foundation areas
- Trim vegetation away from your home’s exterior
Mosquitoes – HIGH Activity
With Sacramento Valley’s irrigation channels and recent spring rains, mosquito populations are exploding. Aedes and Culex species are particularly active during dawn and dusk hours. The warm, humid conditions are perfect for breeding.
